Women and children who are victims of domestic abuse will have something to smile about this Christmas thanks to a large donation of gifts from local estate agents Payton Jewell Caines.
Staff from Payton Jewell Caines have donated presents to Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid which is a member of the umbrella organisation, Welsh Women’s Aid.
Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid provides emergency refuge accommodation in a communal home for up to six women and their children at any given time. They also run a new complex of self-contained flats known as the ‘move-on’. This provides lightly supported housing to five women and their families whilst they continue on the road to rebuilding their lives following domestic abuse.
Catherine Caines, a Director of Payton Jewell Caines says: “As a local business, we recognise the need to support local causes and play our part in the community. Christmas is a good time to show our support and our staff were only too willing to help Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid by donating gifts for those that have suffered as a result of domestic abuse. We wish them all a Happy Christmas.”
