Some 200 members of Bridgend Athletics Club will benefit from new training equipment thanks to sponsorship from estate agents Payton Jewell Caines.
A thriving athletics club, Bridgend Athletic Club caters for all ages from 9 years old and for athletes of all abilities. Those pictured with Coach Jason Quirke and Helen John of Payton Jewell Caines are 16 year old Dylan Parry who has represented South Wales for the 100 metres and javelin, 14 year old Jordan Meek who has represented South Wales for high jump, relay and 300 metre hurdles and 12 year old Molly Ridge who has represented South Wales for the 200 metre sprint, 75 metre hurdles and relay.
Coach Jason Quirke who is also the Manager of the National Young Athletes League said: “We are very grateful to Payton Jewell Caines. Their support will help talented young athletes to develop their skills and confidence and follow in the foot-steps of our members who have achieved at the highest level – Olympians, World and Commonwealth representatives. We have won over 40 medals this year along with International Honours and look forward to continued success.”
