End of Tenancy

If you have followed the recommendations below your moving out day and return of deposit should be completely stress free.

The property must be cleaned thoroughly upon move-out. Check off items as you complete them BEFORE the check-out walk through:

• Removal of rubbish
• Defrosting of fridge/freezer
• Cleaning of kitchen including appliances and bathroom including grouting
• Vacuuming or washing of floors
• Late return of keys (a daily rate will be charged following the official end date until the keys are returned)

Ensure that you check the contents of your tenancy agreement for any additional cleaning clauses but common deposit deductions include: 

* Removal of rubbish

* Cleaning of kitchen and kitchen appliances

* Cleaning of bathroom and bathroom grouting

* Vacuuming or washing of floors

* Overgrown garden

* Late return of keys (a daily rate is charged for the late return of keys)

Kitchen Cleaning

• Clean inside and outside of all kitchen cupboards and drawers
• Clean internally and externally fridge (freezer – to be defrosted)
• Wipe down microwave from inside and outside
• Clean inside and outside of washing machine, soap dispenser and filters
• Clean dishwasher from inside and out
• Clean and degrease inside of oven, polish outside chrome
• Clean and polish hob/ grill
• Clean, degrease and polish extractor fan
• Remove mold and grease from wall tiles, wash down and polish
• Clean exterior of all kitchen appliances such as kettle, toaster, etc.
• Wash down and polish all kitchen countertops
• Remove lime scale sink/ shine taps
• Clean windows from the inside; wipe down window sills/ window ledges
• Clean inside, outside and on top of cupboards and wardrobes
• Clean behind and under furniture (if furnished accommodation) Move mattresses and vacuum under
• Vacuum and mop (if relevant) floors

Living Areas/ Bedroom Cleaning

• Remove cobwebs
• Clean coving, picture rail, cornice/ curtain rails
• Clean and polish mirrors,pictures
• Clean and polish windows internally, window sills, window ledges
• Wipe down doors and clean on top of doors
• Clean skirting boards and all woodwork carefully of dust
• Clean light switches, plugs, sockets, light fittings, lamp shades
• Clean inside, behind and on top of cupboards and furnishings
• Dust and polish all surfaces
• Clean fire surround and radiators/ behind radiators
• Upholstery vacuumed, cushions moved and cleaned underneath
• Vacuum and mop (if relevant) floors

Hallway & Stairs Cleaning

• Remove Cobwebs
• Clean covering, picture rail,cornice/curtain rails
• Clean and polish mirrors, pictures
• Clean and polish windows internally, window sills,window ledges
• Wipe down doors and top of doors
• Wipe down skirting boards and all woodwork of dust
• Wipe down stairway, banister and railings
• Clean lights switches, plugs, sockets, lights fittings, lamp shades
• Clean inside, behind and on top of cupboards and furnishings
• Dust and polish all surfaces
• Clean radiators/ behind radiators
• Vacuum and mop (if relevant) floors

Bathroom/ Ensuite Cleaning

• Clean descale and polish bath, basin and taps
• Wash shower cabinet/screen from inside and out, Descale and Polish
• Clean and disinfect toilet from inside and out
• Wash down tiles and remove mold
• Wipe clean cupboards/shelving/surfaces and mirrors
• Vacuum and Sanitise Floors
