Christmas has come early for those in need of emergency support thanks to Payton Jewell Caines.
Staff from the Bridgend, Pencoed and Port Talbot offices have been stocking up to support the Bridgend and Port Talbot Food Banks to provide emergency food supplies to people in desperate need of basic food. The Foodbanks rely wholly on donations from local individuals and businesses.
As part of Payton Jewell Caines’ community campaign, employees have been encouraged to buy extra items in their weekly supermarket shop and bring it in to contribute to the scheme. The company then matched the amount donated by buying a further £200.00 worth of tinned and dried food.
Helen John, Sales Director for Payton Jewell Caines says: ‘This initiative is a first for Payton Jewell Caines. We were really moved by recent stories of families suffering in Bridgend and Port Talbot and felt we could do our bit to help’.
‘Our staff wanted to help this fantastic charity. The Foodbank is a hugely worthwhile cause and we are delighted to be able to support the community in this way.’
