Penybont nippers are busy practicing their surf lifesaving skills in Ogmore by Sea.

Aged 7 – 12 years, the children have a new rescue board thanks to a donation from Payton Jewell Caines.

Joe Lewis is Nipper Coordinator. She said: “We run fun, safe sessions teaching our Nippers how to be safe in the water and how to help others be safe too. We train on the beach at Ogmore by Sea throughout the summer months so the new rescue board is a great help. We are really grateful to Payton Jewell Caines for their support.”

Penybont Surf Life Saving Club is a registered charity with nearly 300 members ranging from 7 years to 70 years old. Their main objectives are to help save lives and promote safety at Ogmore By Sea but also to endorse surf lifesaving as a valuable and enjoyable activity for public service, fitness and fun.
